The Government Services Committee provides liaison between IFIA and the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and World Customs Organisation (WCO) over the provision of the services provided under Government mandate by IFIA members to certain national governments.
IFIA maintains a List of Programmes subject to these agreements.
IFIA Members providing these services are bound to follow the Code of Practice IFIA 1001 Preshipment Inspection Mandated by Governments. Their conformity with this Code of Practice is confirmed through implementation of the Preshipment Inspection Certification Programme Rules.
