The objectives of the Food Committee are:

  • To improve the professional image and standing of IFIA member companies within the feed, food and beverage products testing, inspection and certification industry (the industry). This includes their standing with stakeholders: farmers, primary processors, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, end users, consumer organisations and government bodies.
  • To provide collective representation for companies within the industry in order to convey their opinions and experience to external parties.
  • To provide an open forum for members to debate and formulate solutions to testing, inspection and certification issues within the industry.
